so she just came here on cow's instruction to update a dead blog. i say revive.
and saw the latest post that was......... quite very long ago HAHA. and TAGGED.

in any case... hope you guys remembered that a few days ago, 2 years ago, were in riva, italy, and so fb was formed. cow and i were relieving the moments on the bus home after alumni practice and after a brief talk about a certain purple fruit that I dao-ed the whole practice, we went on to recap on fruits, and she told me to post wad fruits there were.

So here goes.

Once upon a time, somewhere in italy, there was a committee meeting. members included a watermelon, banana, chilli padi, mangosteen, durian, chiku, papaya, rockmelon, longan, pineapple and of course, a rambutan. (the dog doesnt rmb whether it was a full comm meeting or a music comm meeting right after the results came out)

Meanwhile, a bunch of 8 juniors, to be exact, were in a room making a video called the GELATO video.. and suddenly the watermelon and dragonFLY came in and complained about the meeting (as i vaguely remember.. anyone who rmbs it differently pls change HOR)

then we gave ppl fruit names.

Rockmelon - Conana Teh (stony)
Papaya - Yun Tian (bimbo-y)
Watermelon - Eugene (round-y)
Banana - JingAn (floaty)
Rambutan - Yong Jian (hairy)
Chiku - Ling Chung (huge eyes)
Durian - Si Xuan (prickly)
Mangosteen - Xuemin (ugly hair)
Apple - Eunice 1 (abandoned when she transformed into a horse)
Pear - Yann Qi

Later names: Pineapple (as suggested by yours truly) (sweet but acidic)

So yeah thats how it got started. then the next night, we decided to include cheryl the mehmeh. but joce the dog din go for the meeting. and ended up being the dog. so yah. in the end we all realise we become more and more like our respective animals. or it was the animals who chose us?

Security has been stepped up at the weekly GAFCZA meeting, reasons attributed to a possible breach in security on 5th April 2009. As of such, all members of GAFCZA, and people invited into the meeting, are required to sign at the reception area before proceeding any further into the highly sensitive compound of GAFCZA.

YEAH, about a third of FB went swimming today:D It was great. We swam, talked, trying to swim in weird styles. But sad to say, the sun was so shy. It hid behind the clouds, and only came out for 15 mins. Oh well. Df was slightly tanner, Kennai looks like a lobster (Duh), Alli and Eunice looked fabulous with their tan. (Alright not very tan, but we have tan lines on our back)

and there you have it, grape, the fruit of the day. never mistaken it for blackcurrant, its distant cousin which was immortalized by the nonsensical group as a symbol of small -censors- (whips out the pinky, think like a chicken and you will get it)

nono, ribena is made by blackcurrants, not grapes. by the way, put some grapes into the freezer for a few hours, take them out and eat them as sorbet-like fruits. its plain awesomeness.

I am back with a new menu for today:D
SUNGEI BULOH

is THE right place to kill your boredom since you will have to tap and scratch your exposed area of skin. XD (you should wear jeans or long pants and apply insect repellent if you don't want to donate your blood too much)
The whole route is quite long (i am too lazy to measure) and since i was too busy killing mosquitoes and looking at the beautiful butterflies (oops, i hope i didn't insult someone), mangrove's pencil-like roots, MONSTROUS monitor lizard, and other natural wildlife.

Here are some photos taken by a GOOD 5.0 MegaPixel Camera (not the lousy 2.0 MP:P)

Apparently this is the monstrous monitor lizard i was talking about One of its kinds blocked the way and it's (well) scary:p

AND this is the SUNGEI (RIVER) BULOH!!! this is taken from this tall observatory tower in the middle of jungle COOL.. XD

FREE & COOL PLACE UP FOR GRABS

You know when you guys are stuck at home, with totally nothing to do, and have nothing to spend but energy, go to...

THE SOUTHERN RIDGES

Eh you know the entire route is about 5.4km. So don't worry about not having enough route to cover, worry about your legs. HAHA. It's divided into different routes, like forest walk, canopy walk, hilltop walk etc.

this is the forest walk. MY FAVOURITE. looks like some spy movie thing. Not recommended for ppl with height phobia (you can actually look through the bridge)

FABER POINT. Apparently the top of Singapore. Eh there was no good camera, and it was kinda cloudy so... imagine nice scenery. haha.

COOL BRIDGE. Called the Henderson Waves. very suitable for bungee jumping. Although you'll prob hit a car below and konk out :p

HILLTOP WALK. As you an see, it's kinda hilly. Haha. But i think the scenery's still better on faber point.

Feast your eyes on the dead end of FOREST WALK. which is 1.3km long. Once you start, you can't stop and you'll just walk till this end and realized you've made a grave mistake. HAHA. kidding:p it's just a scam.

There's also the Marang Trail, Canopy Walk, Hort Park. Not for the faint hearted i tell you. Haha. But very good way to kill time.

Although somehow i think that a lot of you actually know the place already.

Oh yeah, bring your own snacks and drinks. You don't wanna go all the way up to the tip, to find the vending machine all empty like some unlucky person :D

anw THANKS TO JOCE we have found a very interesting fruit called the FEIJOA.

The Feijoa, also known as Pineapple Guava or Guavasteen, is an evergreen shrub or small tree, 1–7 metres (3–23 ft) in height, originating from the highlands of southern Brazil, parts of Colombia, Uruguay and northern Argentina. since we were talking about it the other day. and i'm going nuts from studying. haha. let me educate all of you on how the 12 zodiac came about :D

"popular legend has it that a race was used to decide the animals to report to the Jade Emperor.

The cat and the rat were the worst swimmers in the animal kingdom. Although bad swimmers, they were both intelligent [see i said i'm smart] . They decided that the best and fastest way to cross the river was to hop on the back of the ox. The ox, being a naïve and good-natured [haha so eunice.] animal, agreed to carry them across. However, overcome with a fierce competitiveness, the rat decided that in order to win, it must do something and promptly pushed the cat into the river. Because of this, the cat has never forgiven the rat, and hates the water as well. After the ox had crossed the river, the rat jumped ahead and reached the shore first, and it claimed first place in the competition.

Following closely behind was the strong ox, and it was named the 2nd animal in the zodiac. After the ox, came the tiger, panting, while explaining to the Emperor just how difficult it was to cross the river with the heavy currents pushing it downstream all the time.[excuses! haha.] But with powerful strength, it made to shore and was named the 3rd animal in the cycle.

Suddenly, from a distance came a thumping sound, and the rabbit arrived. It explained how it crossed the river: by jumping from one stone to another in a nimble fashion [bimbo! haha.]. Halfway through, it almost lost the race but the rabbit was lucky enough to grab hold of a floating log that later washed him to shore. For that, it became the 4th animal in the zodiac cycle. Coming in 5th place was the dragon, flying and belching fire into the air [emo alert!]. Of course, the Emperor was deeply curious as to why a strong and flying creature such as the dragon should fail to reach first. The mighty dragon explained that he had to stop and make rain to help all the people and creatures of the earth, and therefore he was held back a little. Then, on his way to the finish line, he saw a little helpless rabbit clinging on to a log so he did a good deed and gave a puff of breath to the poor creature so that it could land on the shore. [wah so nice wor...] The Emperor was very pleased with the actions of the dragon, and he was added into the zodiac cycle. As soon as he had done so, a galloping sound was heard, and the horse appeared. Hidden on the horse's hoof is the snake, whose sudden appearance gave the horse a fright, thus making it fall back and gave the snake 6th spot while the horse took the 7th.

Not long after that, a little distance away, the ram, monkey and rooster came to the shore. These three creatures helped each other to get to where they are. The rooster spotted a raft, and took the other two animals with it. Together, the ram and the monkey cleared the weeds, tugged and pulled and finally got the raft to the shore. Because of their combined efforts, the Emperor was very pleased and promptly named the ram as the 8th creature, the monkey as the 9th, and the rooster the 10th.

The 11th animal is the dog. His explanation for being late—although he was supposed to be the best swimmer amongst the rest—was that he needed a good bath after a long spell, and the fresh water from the river was too big a temptation. For that, he almost didn't make it to finish line. Just as the Emperor was about to call it a day, an oink and squeal was heard from a little pig. The pig got hungry [voracious!] during the race, promptly stopped for a feast and then fell asleep. After the nap, the pig continued the race and was named the 12th and last animal of the zodiac cycle. The cat finished too late (thirteenth) to win any place in the calendar, and vowed to be the enemy of the rat forevermore."

you know why lama didn't make it? cos tibet was too far away!
and unidentified species couldnt make it either cos his spaceship broke down halfway!
HAHA! sorry. couldn't resist XD

today (yesterday) was the last practice of choir b4 promo
huuuhhh... very sad:(

we gonna have break till October!

so to mark our last choir practice
we were eating dinner with other choir members
at KAP.. lol
It was not bad, but since i had to treat 'certain person', i din buy my fav mcspicy
(another crap)

we were exchanging bags during our trip from NJ to KAP.. lol
i was carrying alli's bag... OMG looks very gay
alli was carrying clarissa's bag... looks better than with the original owner:p
clarissa was carrying df's bag... hmm no comment
df was carrying eunice2's bag... mugger uncle
eunice2 was carrying sonia's bag... at least she looked like a girl for a moment
sonia was carrying my bag... ewh the sling so high, looked like a boy
